I had such a hard time deciding between the Historical City Walking Tour and the Market Walking Tour, ultimately deciding on the historical tour. About a week before, Ivanna reached out to ask if I was okay to start the tour earlier due to the forecast of extreme heat and combining the historical and market tours. I was so happy to say yes because it gave me the best of both worlds! Ivanna was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful. She sent a Google Maps pin for the meeting point, used a small picture book to help us visualize what Aix en Provence looked like in the past, and even included a fun trivia game in the cathedral. She answered all of my questions and shared recommendations for places to eat and explore. When another tour I had booked was canceled because of the heat, I ended up booking a train to Avignon. When she found out, she took the time to suggest what I should see there too. Our walking tour ended with a Polaroid photo at the Rotonde Fountain, which was such a thoughtful and personal souvenir she gave us with. I highly recommend Ivanna and would happily book another tour with her if I am ever back in Aix en Provence!

Ivanna was a wonderful guide for our visit to Aix-en-Provence. She was very knowledgeable and effective at pointing out details that I’m sure we would have missed without her. We would recommend her to anyone visiting this region of France.

This tour was fantastic. Although my husband and I had already spent a few days wandering around Aix En Provence, we couldn't put the fountains and beautiful architecture into context. Then the area came alive for us as Ivanna guided us through the same areas, giving us the history as well as many interesting anecdotes about the area and its inhabitants. The time flew by, and we agree that we were extremely fortunate to have gotten Ivanna as our guide.
