9:30 AM - Hotel Pickup in Aix-en-Provence
We collect you from your hotel or accommodation in central Aix. Settle into our comfortable, air-conditioned van as your guide shares what makes today special—and answers any questions about the rest of your Provence trip.

9:30 AM - Sainte-Victoire — Light, Stone & Cézanne
We begin with Montagne Sainte-Victoire — sacred long before it was painted.
The limestone here changes colour constantly, depending on light and season. It’s why Cézanne painted it again and again, and why artists never really leave it behind.
We drive around the mountain, stopping at:
Barrage de Bimont, a striking 1950s dam
Viewpoints over the valley, forests, and old Provençal land
This landscape sets the tone: silence, scale, and presence.
10:30 PM - Picasso, Oppidums & Ancient Provence
From Sainte-Victoire, we continue through lesser-known backroads:
Past ancient oppidums (pre-Roman hill settlements)
Through vineyards and forest
With views toward places where Pablo Picasso once lived and worked
Here, nature, art, and memory overlap — without signage, without crowds.
12:00 PM - Saint-Maximin — Mary Magdalene & Sacred Stillness
Our next stop is Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume.
This village holds one of the most important sacred sites in Christendom:
The third tomb of Christianity
A major pilgrimage point between Rome and Santiago de Compostela
Said to contain the relics of Mary Magdalene
We visit the basilica, explore the village, and pause — not to rush, but to be still.
Lunch here is unhurried.

3:00 PM - The Grotto of Mary Magdalene — A Pilgrimage Walk
The final chapter is the most profound.
We drive to Massif de la Sainte-Baume, then walk through an ancient forest toward the Grotte de Marie-Madeleine.
